| Rich Owen is the Colorado Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year for 2011. Just a few years ago (2006), he picked up a guitar for the first time and began to teach himself to play. A mere three months later, he wrote his first song, "I Ain't Ready for Forever (to End)", a love song for his wife. The songs continued to flow from there, as Rich drew upon a lifetime of experiences and emotions. His music truly comes straight from the heart. He has a unique way of drawing the listener into the stories he tells through his songs, and making them truly feel the emotions that play out in the music and lyrics. “Home, God, and Country" is Rich’s debut album. To know who he is and what he cares about, you need only listen to the eleven songs that make up this moving and entertaining collection. He has garnered many awards and nominations for his songwriting and entertaining.
