Just as summer is gently turning to fall, with the aromas of harvest and dusky sunsets giving their first hint of cooler weather, we see a rider coming our way, on a comfortable horse and wearing a guitar – it’s part of who he is, what he does and how he shares his love of family farmers, ranchers and cowboys, our military members, our great country, and (without apologies), God who has given us so much to be thankful for, even in difficult times.

Barry’s the Real Deal, a natural singer, songwriter, consummate performer and ambassador of the West, to friendly crowds everywhere.  His expressive and powerful voice and arrangements sing from his heart to ours, carrying his deep love of life and of people.  “Bear” is always a favorite wherever he shares his songs and fun, and performs for many kinds of music lovers – rural, Christian cowboy and country, and Western.  And what better place to enjoy Barry, than in the Cowboy Church of Peyton, with its Western décor, wagon-wheel lighting and cozy padded pews?

Barry won Male Vocalist of the Year in the Western Division of the Country Gospel Music Association and was one of the top three finalists for the Western Music Association’s Male Performer of the Year. This year the song “Whispers of the West” was nominated by the Academy of Western Artists for Song of the Year.  In May 2003 at Carnegie Hall in New York City, Barry had the honor of being part of The Great American Cowboy in Concert.

The show begins at 7:00 but come early for the jam at 5:30.  Listen, play or sing along.  See you there.
